Abstract
The International Conference on Responsible Artificial Intelligence (ICRAI) 2024,
held on 16–17 December 2024, at Mangalore University, India, in collaboration with Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK, and the International Association of Academicians (IAASSE), successfully brought together a global community of researchers, scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss the critical issues surrounding the responsible development and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI).
Over the course of two insightful days, ICRAI 2024 fostered interdisciplinary
dialogue on the ethical, legal, and societal implications of AI, emphasizing the
importance of transparency, accountability, fairness, and inclusivity. The conference featured thought-provoking keynote addresses, engaging panel discussions, and presentations of cutting-edge research that highlighted the need for responsible AI solutions across diverse sectors, including healthcare, education, governance, and industry.
The event underscored the pressing need to align AI advancements with ethical
standards and human values, ensuring that technology serves the greater good and contributes to societal well-being. Participants engaged in rich discussions about the potential risks of AI, such as bias, discrimination, and privacy concerns, while exploring solutions to mitigate these challenges through collaborative, innovative approaches.
