Abstract
The Welsh Government is committed to reducing poverty and its effects, including the educational gap between children in low-income families and their better-off peers. This Viewpoint draws on recent evidence assembled by Joseph Rowntree Foundation to consider how student-, family- and community-focused interventions can best contribute to breaking the link between poverty and low educational achievement in Wales
