N2 - This paper aims to explore the possible applications of drama and performance as research and teaching ‘tools’ in archaeological practice. Abrief presentation about previous attempts to apply drama and performance in archaeology will be followed by a detailed analysis of how drama can be beneficial in the context of Archaeological teaching and practice.The theoretical discussion is later organized around a methodological framework. The discussion is supported by a presentation of the pilot application of the proposed methodology in Santorini island’s archaeological caves, and a brief summary of the application’s outcomes.
