Introduction

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingForeword/postscript

Abstract

The first edition of this book was well received to the extent that Routledge encouraged us (original editors - Alun Hardman and Carwyn Jones) to consider putting together a second edition. We were excited by the prospect but wanted to expand the editorial team to bring a greater breadth of experience, knowledge, and insight. We are delighted, therefore, that Pam Sailors from Missouri State University has agreed both to serve as a member of the editorial team and to contribute a chapter to the new edition. Since the publication of the book, part of the extremely successful Ethics and Sport series, exploring sport in general and sport coaching in particular from an ethics perspective has expanded significantly. More scholars drawing on diverse perspectives in philosophy and the sub-discipline of ethics have published on a wide range of topics that directly and indirectly impact the practice of coaching.
