Abstract

During a four week creative period, artists reflected on the theme of figurative ceramics, with individual and classical solutions. The exhibition showcases a wide range of applied techniques and materials such as free hand-building and patterning, fine porcelain casting and carving. The seven invited artists were introduced in an opening speech, held by Lori-Ann Touchette, art historian and director of the C.R.E.T.A. Rome Ceramics Centre in Italy.
The figurative objects illustrates the diversity of ceramic art through their particular atmosphere, the telling of different stories and exciting technical methods.
