Abstract

Governments and businesses are spending billions to protect themselves from cyber-attacks, so the question arises what an influencer or influencer agency can do to protect themselves. This chapter explores what cyber security is and how influencers can protect themselves and recover from cyber-attacks. Using case studies of how influencers have found their accounts compromised, stolen, or held for ransom, the reader will have a clear understanding of the extent of cyber-attacks present. The goal of this chapter is to provide a clear understanding of cyber security for the lay individual (influencer) while giving a clear understanding of tactics, techniques, and procedures to protect themselves.
