Abstract
Over the past decade, Intelligent Vehicles (IVs) have revolutionized operations in various sectors of which the healthcare sector is not an exception. The integration of IVs with the healthcare systems tackles various issues and challenges and ultimately leads to improved care of patients, remote monitoring of patients, and quick and efficient response mechanisms for emergencies. The integration of IVs with trending technologies in the healthcare sector highly nurtures the performance of the healthcare systems. In this article, we present a comprehensive analysis of the integration of IVs with healthcare systems and highlighting the applications of IVs in the healthcare sector. The integration of IVs with healthcare system pose various issues and challenges that are presented in this work. Lastly, the paper presents future research directions which will be helpful for the researchers to explore the relevant domain.
