Abstract

The way we interact with the digital world is about to undergo a transformation thanks to a novel and intriguing idea called the metaverse. It is a combined virtual world made up of many interwoven realities, including virtual, augmented, and real. The metaverse is a vibrant fusion of the physical and the virtual that create a single, location-independent arena where people can engage, collaborate, learn, and connect in real time. The medical community has a fairly positive outlook on the metaverse. It can help the medical practitioners for remote diagnosis especially during critical condition and also aid in effective diagnostic process. The metaverse offers a fresh learning environment with immersive experiences that might completely transform the healthcare sector. This chapter highlights the various applications of the metaverse in health sector domains.
