Abstract
This article explores the early stages of curriculum reform in Wales, with a particular focus on the repositioning of English within the Languages, Literacy and Communication Area of Learning and Experience (LLC AoLE). It outlines the author's perspectives on how the integration of English into this broader, multilingual framework reflects a shift towards a more holistic, skills-based approach to language learning.
