Research interests
Yvonne's research aims to make the world a better place by improving our ability, as individuals and society, to include people with speech, language and communication difficulties. This population encompasses those whose ability to communicate is affected by stuttering, head injury, cancer, stroke, neurological conditions, cleft palate or autism as well as those with developmental conditions such as Developmental Language Disorder or Speech Sound Disorder amongst others.
Yvonne works with Welsh Government, Health and Care Research Wales and the National Institute for Health Research as well as many talented and experienced colleagues, including individuals with lived experience of speech, language and communication difficulties, from all over the world to deliver these goals.
