Miss Veronika Bulochova was the 2021 recipient of the ZERO2FIVE PhD scholarship for a research study determining food safety culture in the hospitality and catering sector in Wales (UK) and utilising real-time data and novel Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
Veronika obtained an MSc with distinction at Cardiff Metropolitan University in Food Science and Technology and holds a BSc in Human Biology from the University of South Wales (Former University of Glamorgan). Prior to her academic career, Veronika worked in the food service and hospitality sector for 12 years.
In 2023, Veronika won two awards for the best research posters at the International Association for Food Protection European Symposium on Food Safety in Aberdeen, and at the United Kingdom Association for Food Protection conference in Cardiff.
Her research interests include food handler food safety behaviour in the food service sector; pet owner food safety behaviour; drivers and barriers to food safety implementation; novel food safety monitoring tools.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
