Dr. Naimat U. Khan is a Lecturer in Accounting & Finance at Cardiff School of Management, Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK. He earned his PhD in Finance from the University of Dundee, UK, and completed twelve months of Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellowships at the University of Kentucky and the University of Alabama, USA. He recently completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Academic Practice (PGc-TAP) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
His broad research interests lie in the fields of financial accounting and reporting, corporate finance, and Islamic capital, employing both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Since joining Cardiff Metropolitan University, his research has expanded to encompass sustainability, climate-related financial reporting, ESG and entrepreneurship finance, with a particular focus on how institutions, regulation, and sustainability shape corporate behaviour and financial decision-making.
Dr. Khan has published in internationally recognised journals, including Journal of Accounting Literature, The British Accounting Review, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, Business Strategy and the Environment, and Corporate Governance. He serves as Associate Editor of Qualitative Research in Financial Markets.
