Personal profile
Research interests
I am a Senior Lecturer in Electronics Engineering and Programme Director for Engineering programmes. Recognized for my expertise, I hold a Senior Member status with IEEE, membership with IET, and am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). My leadership has been endorsed by the UK Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE). Additionally, I serve as an external examiner at Lancaster University and the University of East London, and I am an Accreditation Officer at Cardiff School of Technologies (CST).
My research specialisations are Electromagnetics, RF & Microwaves, Satellite Technologies, Metamaterials, Non-terrestrial Networks (NTN), Energy Harvesting, and IoT. I lead the 'EM-RFMic Engineering' research group at Cardiff School of Technologies (CST). My research has been supported by various internal and external grants, including UKRI Innovation Launchpad Network+ (ILN+) Researcher in Residence (RiR) fund, Seed fund, WIN/Global Wales, and Ser Cymru equipment grant. I also serve as guest Editor in Symmetry Journal within special issue 'Advances in Energy Harvesting, Metamaterials, and Their Integrated Multifunctional Systems’.
