Research interests
Kate is a Lecturer in Public Health at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Kate co-leads the Public Health and Wellbeing Research and Innovation Group held within the Centre for Health Activity and Wellbeing Research (CAWR) and is co-institutional lead for a collaboration held with EuroHealthNet (a European public health network) in the School of Sport and Health Sciences. Kate is responsible for teaching on the MSc Applied Public Health and collaborates on numerous research projects which focus on improving health and wellbeing with numerous stakeholders. Prior to this role, Kate was a Senior Researcher at Public Health Wales, leading national research and evaluation projects, aligned with Public Health Wales’s strategic objectives. Kate conducts quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods research. Kate’s expertise lies within Public Health, wellbeing, Positive Psychology and Behavioral Science, having previously achieved a PhD in Psychology and an MSc in Consumer Psychology with Business from Bangor University.
