Personal profile

Research interests

Dr Kate Attfield is a lecturer at the Cardiff School of Education and Social Policy, Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK. I have a PhD from Cardiff University in Deaf studies, awarded in 2014. Prior to being a university academic, I held enlightening positions in the health and social care industry. My sociological research interest is inclusive citizenship, which has led me to under-researched, minority communities: I am interested in the Triple X experience, Steiner Waldorf pedagogy, and the Deaf community. I have also conducted research in areas of educational inequities.
