Research interests

I am a Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management and an Associate of PSA Training and Development, where I worked as senior lead consultant for six years before taking up my current post. Prior to that I was a British Army officer for over twenty years, specializing in leadership and management education and training, strategic studies and influence operations.

I have played a leading role in supporting individual and organisational learning in a wide variety of settings, both in the UK and abroad, and have an extensive background in operational and strategic planning in large multinational contexts. I have also worked as a facilitator, coach and mentor in the public, private and third sector.

My Doctoral thesis, which I undertook during my service in the British Army, examined change leadership and education in divided societies within the contested cultural environment of Northern Ireland. My current teaching and research focuses on strategy, leadership, creativity, in addition to White male allyship in the field of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
