Research interests

I am principle lecturer in Health Psychology at Cardiff Metropolitan University, a chartered Psychologist with the BPS (CPsychol) and a Health Psychologist (HCPC).  I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academic (SFHEA). 

My research primarily focuses on using health psychology theory and knowledge to explore underserved populations.  I am particuarly interested in the impact of living with stigmatised chronic illness. My PhD background is in eating behaviours therefore I am also interested in understanding the psychsoocial influences on eating behaviours and obesity.

In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
