Research interests
I am an interdisciplinary social scientist with a speciality interest qualitative research, social theory and the martial arts. Since 2008, I have been publishing work on martial arts in society using various research designs including ethnography, narrative and case studies. Beyond my own research, I collaborate internally and internationally as a critical friend and advisor on various projects pertaining to martial arts, combat sports, health and wellbeing.
