Research interests

Dr Emmet McLoughlin is a senior lecturer in Tourism and Events Management at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Dr McLoughlin is a member of the Welsh Centre for Tourism Research (WCTR) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK). His research interests include destination and event management, leisure studies, and sociology. Current research is focused on destination resilience, leisure and biosecurity and crisis management in the events sector.
