Research interests
Dr. Rajkumar Singh Rathore currently serves as a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) and Program Director for the MSc in Computing and IT within the School of Technologies at Cardiff Metropolitan University, United Kingdom. He leads the Cyber-Physical and Networked Systems group at the CeRISS Research Centre and heads the Cybersecurity initiatives for Connected and Autonomous Systems at the CINC Research Centre. As a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) in the United Kingdom, Dr. Rathore has amassed several years of experience in scholarship of teaching learning and research excellence. He is the chair of a Transparent, Accountable and Responsible Artificial Intelligence Special Interest Group (TAR-AI) with several international universities for joint research endeavours.
An accomplished academic, he has co-authored multiple textbooks tailored for BSc and MSc programs in Computer Science. He actively contributes to the academic community, having served as a Technical Program Committee chair and as a keynote speaker at several esteemed international conferences.
Dr. Rathore is a founding member of the IEEE Trustworthy Internet of Things (TRUST-IoT) Working Group and ACM Emerging Interest Group on Trustworthy and Responsible Systems. Dr Rathore is also a member of the ACM Europe Technology Policy Committee for AI, Data Science, Autonomous systems and Cybersecurity. His research interests are diverse and include the Transparent, Accountable and Responsible Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things/Cyber Physical Systems, Cybersecurity & Privacy, Connected and Autonomous Vehicles(CAVs), EV Charging Infrastructure Management, Smart Grid, Intelligent Networking of Drones and use cases of AI/ML.
