Research interests
Cath’s research interrogates materiality and corporeality in Visual Culture. Her PhD by published works ‘Discourses of Dissolution: Designing the Deceased in Visual and Material Culture’ focussed on tensions between presence/absence and preservation/deterioration in posthumous stardom, film, fashion and embodiment.
She is currently preoccupied with skulls and also blood within popular culture, textile and fashion design.
