Organisation profile

Established in 2013, the VFC undertakes applied research and application of Contemporary Operations and Management Paradigms (COMPs) to process and supply chain improvement. These COMPs include Lean Thinking, Theory of Constraints (TOC), Lean Six Sigma and Agility.  Research emanating from the VFC has enabled significant business improvements within a range of organisations and has also influenced curriculum development (MSc International Supply Chain and Logistics Management). VFC researchers were also involved in collaborative research on the Marine Energy Centre of Excellence (MEECE) project.
