Organisation profile
The Integrative and Applied Physiology R&I group is devoted to understanding the mechanisms of adaptation across the spectrum of health and disease. Integrative physiology is a broad church that encompasses all aspects of physiology, ranging from molecular to systems physiology. Each of our members is working towards the advancement of knowledge of biological systems, whether related to the treatment of disease, advancement of exercise performance or exploration of new environments. Our work is funded by international and national funding councils, charities, and innovation partners, and aims to deliver world-leading research that can be translated to real-world impact.
