Organisation profile

Cardiff School of Art and Design (CSAD) staff are engaged in the development of world-leading research and meaningful collaborations with industry, public sector and community organisations.

This was recognised by REF2021, the UK’s independent assessment of research quality across UK higher education institutions, which rated 84% of our Art and Design research as world-leading or internationally excellent. The Art and Design submission was also ranked joint second for impact, demonstrating the cultural, social and economic value of our research.

Through the cultivation of an integrated and exciting learning environment, our students feel the benefit of this research & innovation excellence in both the richness of their education and in the career prospects of our graduates.
