The history of rowing in this week's podcast brought to you by the British Society of Sport History in association with the Institute of Historical Research with Alec Hurley, who is a graduate student at the University of Texas at Austin.
And it's a podcast takeover this week as Alec is interviewed by the BSSH's Postgrad and Early Career Rep, Conor Heffernan. Alec first talks briefly about the development of sport in Britain's colonies in the nineteenth century before discussing his doctoral work on the history of rowing in Germany in the nineteenth century and its relationship to developments in Britain.
