To assist Higher Education Council for Wales (HEFCW) in undertaking research into the areas where micro-credentials are most needed to support economic recovery in Wales, Cardiff Metropolitan University and its stakeholders have led a pilot project that has addressed how developing and scaling micro-credential models can be delivered. In consulting with leading stakeholders in the sport and physical activity and health and social care industries, the project has established a clear need and mandate to continue exploring the use of micro-credentials to benefit employers and employees' personal development, which in turn will lead to broader social and wellbeing impacts for people in Wales.
