Crynodeb

The authors are sports psychologists interested in how mindset influences performance. Toward this goal, they interviewed leading Single Session Therapy practitioners to determine key aspects of single session thinking and single session practice. They identified nine key beliefs and 17 core attitudes at the heart of a single session mindset. They suggest that therapists consider themselves performers in their own right and engage in routines and strategies (such as chunking the session, mental priming, and mental cues) to optimize their practitioner mindset for SST.
