The need of security of multimedia applications has a significant challenge over the last decade. This paper present a cryptosystem which combines the use of a randomised image encryption method and a secure pseudorandom number generator (PRNG) based on chaos approach. The proposed framework relies on an image encryption algorithm based on Zaslavsky chaotic map in order to encrypt side-by-side three-dimensional (3D) images and other representative 3D data. The probabilistic characteristics of the proposed cryptosystem guarantee a secure communication without anxiety about the attempts of attackers to steal the related information. The performance of the system indicates that the proposed framework is fast with high level of security. Furthermore, the analysis and tests results demonstrated that the proposed cryptosystem can provide a secure 3D image application
