Editorial - School Leadership & Management

Currently there is much interest in networks of all kinds and a proliferation of networking across schools of all types. The implicit assumption is that collaboration brings many benefits to those teachers and schools involved in the network. There is an opportunity for shared learning, knowledge creation and joint innovation from drawing together collective energies and expertise. There is the real possibility of the exchange of beliefs and opinions within networks that result in new ways of thinking and the generation of new knowledge.
