This is a personal account of teaching two very different modules on AULA for the first time. AULA claims to be “the Learning Experience Platform (LXP) for Higher Education …[which] make[s] it easy for educators to deliver high quality hybrid learning experiences.” First experiences suggest that AULA sits indeed somewhere between being an online platform and a teaching tool. This duality presents a challenge for both students and lecturers, especially since there are some important limitations on functionality, such as the lack of easily accessible logs and design functions.
