As 5G networks promise fantastic advancements in speed, latency, and connectivity, they also introduce giant cybersecurity demanding situations. The take a look at highlights how 5G’s state-of-the-art functions like community slicing, software-defined networking (SDN), network feature virtualization (NFV), and aspect computing increase the assault floor, making these networks prone to a number of cyber threats consisting of disbursed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, man-in-the-middle (MitM) assaults, malware dissemination, and eavesdropping. Given the crucial position of 5G in diverse sectors such as healthcare, transportation, and clever towns, strong cybersecurity measures are critical to prevent disruptions and capability endangerment of lives. The research reviews current literature on 5G security issues, identifying specific vulnerabilities and threats, and evaluates existing countermeasures. It proposes a multi-layered security strategy encompassing improved authentication mechanisms, secure network slicing, fortified IoT security protocols, and strengthened SDN and NFV infrastructures. Additionally, the study discusses the importance of regulatory frameworks and industry best practices in enhancing 5G cybersecurity. By using offering a complete evaluation of the threats, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures related to 5G technology, this research targets to make contributions to the development of effective safety solutions, ensuring that the advantages of 5G can be absolutely realized without compromising safety and security.
